REPULO’S was founded by Kateryna Nechyporenko (née Repulo), whose path into fashion began not with fashion school, but with engineering.

The story of REPULO’S

From engineering to fashion

Kateryna holds a master’s degree in urban planning and graduated from a Polytechnic University. Before founding the brand, she designed facades, retail spaces and interiors, both in Ukraine and abroad, which shaped her sense of proportion, construction, geometry and functional aesthetics.

Although she had no formal training in fashion, a love of clothes has been with her all her life. She created ideas for her own pieces literally from scraps of fabric, and her mother – Olena, a professional seamstress with many years of experience – brought them to life.

A family business

Engineering thinking, a love of fashion, the creativity she inherited from her mother as a child and the entrepreneurial vision of her husband Dima together became the foundation of REPULO’S.

Today REPULO’S is a family business: Kateryna and Dima are not only husband and wife but also business partners, and Kateryna’s mother, Olena, continues to bring her daughter’s ideas to life, only now for women all over the world. And the brand name is actually Kateryna’s maiden name, Repúlo (the stress is on the “u”!).

First collection and first award

REPULO’S in its current form was founded in 2022. But the brand’s own production, Repulo’s Tailors, has been working in Vinnytsia for 10 years now, since 2016!

The Nechyporenkos have lived in many countries around the world. When Repulo’s Tailors was founded, they were living in Dubai (UAE), and it was there, in 2016, that the idea of a fashion business was born. In between designing and making clothes for other international brands, Kateryna created her first signature collection in Dubai in 2016. With it, Kateryna made her debut as a designer at Yas Mall Fashion Week in Abu Dhabi and won an award in the young designers competition (Second Runner Up), whose jury included the renowned designer Reem Acra.

2022–2023Toronto

The birth of the brand

In 2022, when the couple was already living in Toronto (Canada), the first designs were created and the REPULO’S brand was built over endless video calls with Vinnytsia (Ukraine), despite the 7-hour time difference.

As early as 2023, REPULO’S held its first own runway show and took part in Fashion Art Toronto (FAT) in Canada, which strengthened the brand’s position in the North American market. REPULO’S appeared on Canadian television and took part in many fashion and cultural events in Toronto.

2025Warsaw

Europe and beyond

Since 2025 the couple has lived in Warsaw (Poland). Kateryna Nechyporenko works in both Poland and Ukraine and is now growing the brand more actively in the European market. Over this time, the fashion magazine L’Officiel has written about the brand twice, and Gossip magazine has written about Kateryna.

Today REPULO’S clothing is available in boutiques of Ukrainian brands in Lviv and Prague, in an intimate studio in Warsaw and at the production with its creative space in Vinnytsia. And there is more to come!

About us

What we create

REPULO’S is a Ukrainian designer clothing brand for evening events, expressive business looks and fashion styling.

Occasions

At the heart of our collections are evening gowns and sets for the opera, galas, weddings and fashion events. They are complemented by bridal looks and our own take on corporate core. REPULO’S is also chosen for photo shoots and stage performances. A few essential pieces round out the collections and give more freedom for styling.

Signature

The signature of REPULO’S – plissé and accordion pleats in many forms and combinations, thoughtful cuts and handmade details, flowers in particular. The brand’s main colour is red, complemented by white and black. Together they form a recognisable brand palette, while leaving room for other shades.

Own production

We make every piece in our own production in Vinnytsia, paying special attention to fit and quality of workmanship. The pleating for each piece is made separately, in Kharkiv. For us, the inside of a garment has to be as beautiful as the outside. A carefully considered cut and delicate finishing are part of our approach.

Made to measure

Besides standard sizes, every design can be made to measure to your own measurements at no extra cost. We adjust the fit and the length of the garment and sleeves, while keeping the original design.

Small collections

REPULO’S is released in small collections and limited runs, which we replenish as orders come in. This helps us avoid overproduction and keep every design special – there are not many pieces like these in the world. We keep almost no stock, so we rarely have sales. Our priority is the time and craftsmanship that go into every piece.
